Our cat's tower finally touched the plunged and whilst I'm delighted disappointed that DH has had to tip the fucking disgusting much loved pets accessory we've had for a bastarding eternity many wonderful years we're looking for a more streamline/less imposing less ugly replacement.

Any suggestions? please because DH is ready to go and buy a new one

*taken the plunge, not touched the plunge. I would have kicked it to the plunge if it had lasted much longer

It's got one from Kalven. My cats love it They've got loads of other designs and they are hand made with interchangeable parts. So it will last years.
Can't find the picture of it. But it fits perfectly and my house is tiny.

LapdanceShoeshine · 26/04/2018 13:59

This one? It appears to be covered in actual carpet instead of that nasty nylon fabric

Amazon though so DH can’t fetch today!

Seconding Kalven, they last for years

EachandEveryone · 27/04/2018 09:15

Are they difficult to put together though?

HonniBee · 27/04/2018 09:20

Ours loves this one:

Not a monstrosity and good for hiding from the toddler/dog!

EachandEveryone · 27/04/2018 09:26

Yeah mine love that one also I got it off zooplus

Toddlerteaplease · 27/04/2018 10:28

My kalven one is a set of three steps and it was really really easy to put together. I bought it from a show fully assembled but the bloke insisted on taking it apart to make it easier to transport! Hmmit would have fitted perfectly in my tiny car!

I got mine off zooplus for a decent price. Ours is pretty big but I know they have smaller, more compact ones.

I asked a retired friend's husband! She was desperate to keep him out of the house and apparently he loves projects, so I just asked if he could make something a bit sturdier than the previous construction, and possibly not so ugly.

He found this branch in open woodland, apparently, and the carpet sections are from leftovers stored in their loft 'just in case'. It is just perfect, and my cats (tortoiseshell, pictures 1 of 2) love it.

So, it appears, do next-door's cats (the black and white, 1 of 2)...

Maybe try asking a retired person?! Put a small ad somewhere perhaps?
