Need a cat shaped kick up the bum!

Posted previously about the lovely incontinent girl we’d been given the go ahead to adopt. We’ve jumped through every hoop the rescue has thrown at us (and I understand why there were so many, she’s very special) and make the 100 mile round trip once a week to visit her. They’ve now pushed back the adoption again, for another month . We’ve visited numerous times, had 2 home checks, built an enormous cat climbing frame in the garden as per their suggestion and now I’ve got a niggling feeling that this isn’t go to go ahead. Raaar, sorry, I just need a rant!

What's their reason for the delay?

Good heavens. People willing to adopt incontinent cats are as rare as hens' teeth. You'd think they'd be falling over themselves. What reasons have they given?

Oh for goodness sake. What's the reason this time. You are that cats only hope. Can't they see that?

Apparently not. They haven’t given a reason. I’m loathe to say too much for fear of someone from the rescue being on here. But she’s a ‘big’ cat, in both senses of the word and she’s stuck in a tiny room, all by herself, desperate for space! Sod it, she’s a f4 Savannah, so exceptionally intelligent, very energetic and easily bored. So frustrated. I appreciate she’s had a terrible time of it, but I don’t know what else we can do! I’ve even learnt how to express her bladder in case the incontinence doesn’t ever improve. I just feel like there’s something they’re not telling us now

The lady I had been dealing with is now ignoring my messages I don’t know what to do...

That's awful, it doesn't sound as though they are that bothered about the poor cat. Can you escalate this at the rescue?

It seems crazy that they're willing to pass up an adopter willing to take on that level of special needs. Did they specify why?

Very odd. Don't know what else you could do.

I don’t know who to escalate it to. I just don’t understand why they made us do everything if this was going to happen!

They’re still ignoring me I don’t know whether to just give up. But I really don’t want to!

I’ve never heard such nonsense in my life. Does one of the volunteers want her or something?

Keep fighting for her Op. you may be her only chance.

Could you possibly go in person and demand answers? or kidnap the poor girl
