Large rabbit cage as kitten crate?

Getting 12 wk old kitten on weekend. Breeder has recommended we initially use a crate as they have for nighttime and to settle in.
We have a large rabbit cage already. Would this be suitable?

Never heard of putting a kitten in crate.
I sould imagine it would prefer to seek out its own safe space. If it's a lone kitty chances are it will want to sleep with you guys so it's not lonely

I've got a dog cage as a kitten crate. £36 on Amazon.
She only uses it at night now though.

I don't understand why anyone could possibly need a kitten crate. Just keep them in one room at night until they get used to their new world.

Our kitten chose behind the tumble drier as her 'place' when we first brought her home, I don't think a kitten really needs a crate as long as they have a safe place like a bed that everyone knows not to disturb her in

Thanks for replies. The breeder has always kept the kittens in a crate overnight so our kitten will be used to one.
