Vet registration

Does anyone know if it’s possible to register a cat with more than one vet?

We reluctantly left our old vet as Harry needed a heart scan and, while the new vet is fine, we’ve had problems in the past there and to be honest I’d rather he was back at his old vet for routine stuff.

I have my usual vet but used an alternative one to get my two neutered as mine wouldn't did them at 4 months. They probably don't care as long as they get paid!

It would be unusual as an ongoing arrangement. Most vet's wont like it... Gets confusing with their vet files too as they would each like to see what the other has done/prescribed etc.

Both Toddler girls are registered with a cheap vet for routine stuff. And a vet hospital for complicated/ out of hours stuff. As Snorg was treated there when she was poorly and I preferred it to the vets now practice, I registered Fatty as well.

Thanks all. It’s not going to be an issue until the old practice has a regular vet rather than locums but it was just something I was wondering about.

I’m rather hoping he won’t need anything other than routine stuff but this is Harry...

I popped in his old vets tonight as we owed them money (no change there!) and mentioned I’d like to be registered with both and apparently there is no problem and they’d love to see him again!

We’ll take him to the old vet for his vaccinations as the new one uses a different type and it’ll save him two trips. We can also suss out the vet and see how it goes.
