Seriously.. my cat has attachment issues and can't be more then 2 inches away from me, this morning she scratched my eyeball, it was really sore and I couldn't open it, but I can now, it's still sore, at what point should I get this checked out?

Now. You'll need topical antibiotics.

IStillMissBlockbuster · 01/04/2018 10:29

God. Erm, how long ago did it happen op? How is your vision?

DangerousMouse · 01/04/2018 10:29

really? I don't want to bother 111 as it's not crazy painful and I can see fine, but their claws are a breeding ground aren't they?!

Happened at 7am today, can see fine, maybe a tiny bit blurry

A&e today. As pp said you need antibiotics and they need to assess how deep the scratch is and any other ointment thats needed.

MarthaArthur · 01/04/2018 10:31

You might need an ointment in it to help it stay moist whilst blinking is compromised as well as oral or eye drop anti biotics.

DangerousMouse · 01/04/2018 10:37

oh poo, ok thanks all I'll call 111

Good luck hope its sorted and not too painful. You might even get numbing drops to help with pain

DangerousMouse · 01/04/2018 12:23

Thanks, I'm in A&E now.

Let us know how you get on op x

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 01/04/2018 14:16

That's good. It's not good that you've been scratched, obviously, but It's good you're getting it seen to.
Can't imagine how painful that must have been.

PrettyWisdomous · 01/04/2018 14:19

Ouch! Hope you're getting seen to and it's not too painful.

DinahMo · 01/04/2018 14:25

Glad you’re being seen, OP, don’t take chances with eyes! Hope it’s easily sortable.

DangerousMouse · 01/04/2018 14:55

Thanks all, got some ointment and an appointment to go back as they want to do a follow up... now I can start on the Easter eggs!

Yikes do you have to put ointment on your eye ball. I shudder as I type

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 01/04/2018 17:56

Enjoy your easter eggs. Grin
