And of course it would be while I'm in the middle of sorting the laundry! Typical catGrin
We've had them 14 months and boy cat has ventured on a few times, but girl cat has been a bit trickier to win over!

Ooooooh, she’s lovely.

Want2beme · 25/03/2018 19:34

It is there mission in life to stop you doing your chores Grin Love tabbies.

BluebellTheDonkey · 25/03/2018 19:36

To be honest she's a bit of a madam! Shows affection when it suits her. As I say, typical cat! Boy cat on the other hand is a big softy. She's still here which is lovely though!

I think i also posted when one of mine sat on my lap after 2 years! It's lovely feeling like your hard work with them Is rewarded.

BluebellTheDonkey · 26/03/2018 06:34

Wow 2 years Toddler! You really did have to work for that! I have found that I have to ignore her unless she demands attention, so its all on her terms. Cat slave? YepGrin

Ha mine did that on her first birthday last week and hasn’t been near me again!!! Enjoy it while you can. Her sister is up there all the time it’s strange how different they all are

Sunshine49 · 27/03/2018 16:04

That's wonderful! My boy cat has walked across my lap a few times recently, but not actually sat down. Although he did join me on the sofa for a minute yesterday before hopping off! She looks like a gorgeous cat!

BluebellTheDonkey · 27/03/2018 22:36

He'll be building up to it @Sunshine49 . My boy cat did that a few times, then sat down for a few minutes, the longest he's stayed is about half an hour. Its like they're both learning what laps are for!

The angle of your photo makes me want to reach into my screen and stroke her Grin

BluebellTheDonkey · 27/03/2018 22:45

Ah but there's a slight chance she may nip your hand ScreamingValenta. Lovely 90% of the time, a little madam the other 10%. Boy cat on the other hand is a huge big softy and has never once bitten or scratched us. Love them both though💕

Here's one of mine - only took five years! It just took a blanket on the lap! Who knew! Typical Bengal Confused

Thanks bluebell!
Bengals are not really lap cats, but this one is more dog!

Oh! I'm so glad I read this. I thought that it was just my cat that was an independent, stroppy little thing.
She's two and is very cautious, she soon startles if someone new walks in the house. She's forever throwing up, (I think because she's so on edge) and it's taken me all this time for her to let me stroke her head when she's curled up on the chair. Or if she's sat on the chair arm, although she will give me a swipe sometimes, always claws in though.
I feel sad sometimes that she's not more cuddly.

Reading this has given me hope.
