I have an 12 month old cat. She has been using the cat flap for a few months now and its been great. She never wanders far from home and if i shout her she comes running in. She is also always in the garden waiting for us when we get home from work so she can have her dinner.. She hasnt come home tonight. At what point do i start panicking? I know a lot of cats like to wander and explore but she really doesn't and is never not home.at dinner time. She has found the love of Highlife cat food!

Sorry posted too soon. I feel probably stupidly worried tonight

Our two 9 month old kittens have suddenly (last 2 days) been staying out until 4am ish having been curled up on the bed by 11 until now. I've put it down to spring in the air (and all the baby bunnies to chase). I've been stressing but they're much happier getting out and about. Maybe your girl is the same? Have you tried pottering about outside with some treats? There's not really much you can do at this time of night and cats are such independent creatures chances are she's fine. If she's not turned up in the morning then start knocking on neighbours did in case she's shut in a shed or similar, and maybe try calling local vets just in case. But I've been in your shoes so many times with different cats and every single time they've turned up, so try not to worry too much. Hope she turns up purring v soon.

Sorry you're going through this OP. Do you know if anyone in the neighbourhood's seen her about?
