Cat with dandruff-photo too

Daisy is 4. She is well. She eats the same food as our other cats including her near identical brother. She has Royal Canin dried or occasionally Purina available. Then sachets of Felix or tins of Sheba. Running water from a cat fountain.

No sign of fleas.

What could cause this dandruff? It’s been a few days building up, (maybe a week?) and today seems worse than ever.

What could it be and how can we threat it? If it’s not an obviously easy fix I will, of course, take her to the vets

When my cats have had this, I've always been told by the vet that stress causes it. She might have a skin complaint but only the vet will be able to diagnose. Hope it goes away soon.

One of mine has it. Salmon oil on her food has really helped.

It's just dry skin in her case.

Thanks. She seems fine. She’s very affectionate and not a nervous sort of cat so I suspect not stress.

I’ve sent for an oil supplement from Amazon and will try to get a tin of fish in oil today.

If it doesn’t clear over the weekend we can have a trip to the vet
