Protective female cat haha

Does anyone else's female cat start meowing and try to get close to the baby when the baby cried ?

My girl cat has always done this but this afternoon my baby was crying and the cat put her paws up on the carry cot pawed at my hand and looked very concerned 😂 it's so sweet and funny!

She tries to get onto the breast feeding pillow as well and if I lay the baby down the cat wants to lay next to her always! Obviously that's strictly supervised but I think my cat has adopted my baby as her own!
The brother cat is not interested in the slightest and is actually repulsed by baby 😂 will curl his tail up and move with a look of disgust if the baby touches him but then he was a proper clingy cat and I think he's jealous 😂
We honestly don't deserve cats they are so sweet and hilarious with their little attitudes

Our old girl was quite protective of DD when she was born. If she cried cat would be there to have a look or if I was in a different room, she would be there as if to say "small human is crying". One of the midwives even commented when she came round asking if the cat had ever had kittens as she seemed very maternal(I have no idea as we adopted her at 6).
She would sit with us during the lengthy BFs too-was very sweet. Sadly she died last year but always liked bedtime stories so she'd settle down on DD's bed and purr away. They definitely had a strong bond.
