Sore inflamed skin

Noticed yesterday that Fatty had a sore inflamed patch on her shoulder. Noticed 2 more this afternoon. I've got an anti itch stick for cats and some cat antiseptic for it. She is prone to dry skin and is on diuretics for her heat. Could this be causing dryer skin? She has salmon oil in her food, so I will increase the amount. And will pop her along to the vet. Anything else I can do to make her more comfortable.

Oh bless Fatty. Sorry, I don’t know anything about skin conditions as when Harry had problems (you knew he would!) it was due to stress and he was overgrooming and the skin wasn’t inflamed. Is stress or overgrooming a possibility for Fatty?

Give her (and Snorg) a stroke from me.

I don't think she's over grooming. She's still a bit timid, but has massively chilled out. Also the places where it is are not places she can reach.

The anti itch stick is helping, it looks a bit less angry.

Just a thought. The only thing that's changed recently is she's had some different treats. Could that be a cause?

I suppose it could do. Food can cause skin problems in humans so why not cats?

How is she doing today?

I'm trying to take her to the vet. Unfortunately I stupidly mentioned the V word this morning and she's now giving me the complete run around. She's being an absolute little bugger so the vet is going to have to wait till this afternoon as I have things to do this morning. Still need to capture her for her tablets though!

We are currently having a stand off. She's in the kitchen. But if I go and make a grab for her. She'll hide under the units out of reach!

She's sitting in her carrier pretending she's not there. Quite s long wait this afternoon!

The vet thinks it's an allergy to something that she's stuck her head into. Probably on her perambulation around the garden. She's had a shot of steroids and antibiotics, and some eye drops to calm the irritation in her eyes down. I am slightly at a loss as to what she's come into contact with. As she rarely stays out for more than ten minutes.

My dad just asked if it was a Russian nerve agent!
