Help with cat? She's driving me crazy!

I've had my female spayed tabby for about 6 years now. She seems to be getting more and more demanding as time goes on. She is very vocal!
All day today she has been meowing on at me. She doesn't want for anything. She has a clean tray (Won't go outside.), fresh water, always has fresh biscuits and food down (She is very, very fussy about this too and would rather starve than eat what she doesn't want. It's not a case of not liking it, it's all food she has eaten before at some point.), has toys to play with, when the weather is OK has access to the outside. (She very rarely goes out. ) Yet she won't stop meowing at me!
The worst is when I'm on the computer. My sofa is right next to my PC desk and if I'm sat watching TV she rarely bothers me. However, the moment I sit at the computer she starts. Intermitent meowing, non-bloody-stop. If I turn and give her my attention she just flops down on the floor just out of arms reach and starts flicking her tail furiously. I'll move closer to smooth her and she'll get up and do the same, move just out of reach. If I call her she totally ignores me. We play this fecking game everyday. I am soooo sick of it.
Does anybody have any advice on what I can do before I go insane??!!!

It may sound trivial but it's everyday and I'm really sick of it to the point of wanting to rehome her.

Have you tried giving her a good half hour or so every day of quality play time? Da Bird, or a lazer pointer, or something like that. Sounds like she's after some entertainment.

OP I don't know if this will help but my two used to like coming to sit next to me when I was WFH. I'd put a blanket on the desk or on the chair next to mine and they'd curl up and sleep there. One of them didn't like me talking to people on the phone though - I'd get so far through a conference call and he'd come and start yowling at me

No advice , just sympathy ! Our cat is 9 years old and getting worse . She's taken to biting me if I don't get up to let her out , even though she then doesn't actually go out. She bites me to feed her, even though there's food already in her bowl .

How old is she?

Our cat got very very annoying. It turned out to be her thyroid.

Felt v guilty when all the annoying traits disappeared on treatment and we realised just how long she had been ill for. We'd just got used to calling her the annoying cat.

Mine has thyroid issues too, controlled through diet, so do get that checked out.

She gets a proper snuggle every morning, half an hour at least of sitting on me purring having her head rubbed, and usually another session in the evening at some point too.

If she comes in yowling when I'm sitting at my computer she gets a sock thrown at her. Of which I keep a small supply at my desk.

I have considered she was just bored but she only does it when I'm sat at the computer.
The back of the sofa is right next to my desk chair and she lies there. Well, she s at the moment as she knows she's in my bad books! :p She gets smooths and cuddles whenever she wants them.
She is in good general health. Wormed/deflea'd etc.

She is about 6 years old. I've had her from when she was a mere kitten. Maybe familiarity breeds contempt?!

I'd take her for a vet check up. She might have an health issue that's making her vocal and needy. It's worth a try.

I feel your pain. My cat absolutely hates me being on the PC. As soon as I get off it she’s back to her normal self but if I sit at the desk she’s immediately by my side meowing. I’m going to try putting another chair and blanket there for her to sit on next time.
