What noises does your cat like?

I've learnt which songs she disapproves of (she gets the hump) but she gets really over excited when one particular friend phones me.

My friend phoned earlier and cat went ballistic tearing around, then I had to abandon the call as it sounded like the cat was going completely mad and juggling furniture in the next room

My friend is staying next month, I dread to think what it will be like in person

That's very unusual OP. I'm not aware that mine like any particular sound but that of the treat bag!

If I leave the tv or radio on when I go out, my cat shits on the couch.

want is that unusual?? Although I've known my friend 20 years and I've had the cat for 10 years they've not met in person.

Cat gets into a frenzy of delight if she hears her on the phone. It's bang, scamper, crash, bang, in a quivering overexcited way. I'd better buy some earplugs and work out a sharp exit strategy for when they meet face to whisker.

Refuse sorry about your sofa :(. Have you tried different channels...?

My old cat (may she rest in peace) used to go bonkers at the theme tune to the X Files! She used to howl at the tv bless her.

Our cat howls really loud when DH plays the piano. Don't think she thinks much of his piano playing.

When we empty the dishwasher (especially the cutlery basket) she chatters back at it.

Mine likes the sound of a tube of lick-e-lix being extracted from the box.

They like it when I meow at them. I get quizzical looks then they roll over and wave their legs in the air

My attempts at purring are, however, met with disdain.

Mine loves it when the kids and I meow at her - she does this ah,ah sound as her meow and she will chat with us for 5 mins meowing.

If DH tries she just gives him a you are really weird look.
