Egyptian Mau

Hi ! I am thinking of getting a cat, both of my best friends have Egyptian Maus and know reputable breeders, I have joined them on Facebook so I can talk to them.

What I would like to know is Amy downsides to the breed ? I have three children who are very respectful of animals and I have picked this breed as I have seen they are good with children (my friend has two girls and two dc) is that right ?

Also any genetic problems or behaviour?

And which insurance type would be best ?

I will be at home three days a week and then the weekend so plenty of company. Is there anything I haven't thought of ? There is an enclosed courtyard for roaming and a big tree and garden.

There will be a Egyptian mau breed information page, possibly on the cat fancies website or similar. I have never met one but they do look lovely, small and very polite

Certain breeds are more likely to have specific traits but there's no guarantee. Cats are all individuals!
