Cat harness

Does anyone use a cat harness? I live on a main road so I don't feel comfortable letting my kitten outside once she's ready, I was thinking of getting a harness so she could still enjoy the garden but safely?

We take one of ours for walks, well she takes us for walks. I would say that unlike a dog who generally will go where the pack is going, a cat will only walk where they want to go. Easier to pick up and carry though. Ours do go out freely too, still only use litter tray though. I think it would help too if your kitten ever escaped as she would know her garden.

Mine is trained to walk on a lead when he's on holiday with us. He normally goes out under his own steam when at home.
He has a couple of harnesses from Butterfly Cat Jackets. I think others on here use another company. Harrington maybe?

We tried but he just kept wriggling out of it.

The strappy types don't seem very secure and they are hard to put on, the jacket type is better.
Some cats just hate it though!
