Help me with cat insurance

I'm finding it to be a bit of a confusing thing to sort out! I have two cats and having paid out a lot on them already I want to get insurance for any future issues. They are 4 years old.
However, I am told that lots of policies don't actually cover lots of things and some get pricier each year. Anyone know a good one that isn't too pricey?

There are plenty of different policies out there and a lot to avoid. I would go for a cover for life policy as they will continue to pay out every year. A 12 month policy/maximum benefit policy means once you reach the 12 months or the policy limit then that condition is then excluded and you will be on your own after then.

You mentioned that you have already paid out quite a bit on your cats so if they already have pre-existing conditions then they will be excluded. I work in a vet practice (currently on mat leave) and the companies that are good at paying out are Tesco, Pet Plan, Sainsbury's, More Than, John Lewis. There are obviously ones that I wouldn't touch with a barge pole but I won't mention them. 😉 With regards to limits go for the most you can afford to pay, being honest £4K would be the least I would go for. £2k doesn't cover too much once investigations, etc have been done.
