Cat having kidney removed

Hi my lovely boy has a tumour in his kidney. They do not believe it will respond to chemo. Choices are put him to sleep or remove kidney with no guarantee of success. Anyone else been through this? What did you do? Thanks

Have they done a needle aspirate/biopsy to find out what kind of tumour. This would be the biggest determinate of success rather than the location of the tumour.

I have no experience of this, sorry. Just wanted to wish you and your lovely boy well Flowers. Will he recover quickly if the op's successful? Will he be on meds for the rest of his life?

@Lonecatwithkitten yes they did but due to positioning could not get enough cells but due to what they can see on screen they think is one that won't respond to chemo

They think carcinoma or another can't remember what, not lymphoma
