Jumper for cat?

Justonedayatatime11 · 02/02/2018 12:07

One of my cats is absolutely tiny and feels the cold very badly. Would it be cruel to put a jumper/coat type thing on her?! And does anyone know of anywhere that sells them?

eBay, Etsy, Amazon?

I don’t dress my cats but my friend has Sphinx cats (the bald ones) and they have jumpers in winter.

We bought a dog jumper from Pets At Home for our cat. It fits well but she can get it off faster than we can put it on.

Just bought an xxs dog jumper from pets at home. Think it'll need a bit of altering! Ever since I've had her and found out the RSPCA had kindly neglected to mention she was riddled with Giardia she's been absolutely tiny.

The jumper was a fail. Seems worst overnight and first thing in morning. She has multiple blankets in her hidey hole bed, a snugglesafe heat bag and she's next to a radiator. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Is she shivering? Is it definitely cold or could be a nervous nelly?

DuckOffAutocorrectYouShiv · 03/02/2018 11:31

My typing is all over the shop

Heated throw? It’s every cat for himself jostling for a place on one here. Also the round fluffy radiator beds, they keep the heat in unlike the traditional style radiator beds.

retirednow · 03/02/2018 11:33

Can she sleep in bed with you. We used thermal blankets for our cat.

Justonedayatatime11 · 03/02/2018 11:50

She won't sleep in the bed with me. Admittedly she is VERY timid, but she's all fluffled up when she's shivering. There's just nothing to her whereas my other 4 are, erm, chunky.

Mine loves his sheepskin bed liner

PositivelyPERF · 03/02/2018 12:15

Does she have a little house she can go into, rather than just a bed and is it raised off the ground? Even putting her bed in a box, might be enough for her to keep warm.

LionsTeeth · 03/02/2018 12:15

Maybe pop a hot water bottle under a blanket for her? Make sure it's well covered if she has sharp claws though!

Justonedayatatime11 · 03/02/2018 12:18

Ooh Ollivander I meant to ask you where you got your sheepskin from!

From here. Not mega expensive and they are SO soft. The small one fits his igloo bed which is also warm as it has a cushion inside and seems to trap heat with the hood

She has a 2 level bed thing, it's more a hidey hole that a bed but she's always slept in the top hole so off the ground, she has fleece blanket, followed by her microwave heat pad, followed by another fleece blanket and then a big fleece throw over the whole thing. I don't know what more I can do!
