Coughing cat

When Harry gets up after being asleep for a while he has a little cough and then goes off and eats, plays, goes outside or whatever else he wants to do. Could he have a dry throat?

We mentioned it to the vet when he was there at Christmas and she wasn’t worried. He’d had a thorough going over so I don’t think there’s anything to worry about, I was just wondering if anyone else’s cat does this.

Snorg has a coughing fit usually once a day. She's done it as long as I've had her.

We originally thought he was trying to cough up a fur ball but no sign of anything. He does snore (loudly) when he’s asleep so I’m thinking he’s just dry.

It’s a shame you can’t share videos on here, I have a classic one of him snoring!

I think they cough more in winter when the central heating is on. Have to tap Fat Matt’s back sometimes as he is coughing away. Although presumably he copes fine without this help when we’re out!
