Cat worming tablets?

It appears one of my cats may have worms ... scooting along the carpet and licking backside after a poo, though no diarrhoea, constipation, straining, change in appetite or anything else at all

Please can anyone tell me if there's an effective treatment I can buy in shops? I'll obviously take her to the vets if this isn't possible or doesn't work, but it seems a bit silly if I can just deal with it myself

Got to go out for a while but will pick up later - please don't think me rude if I don't reply to any answers in the meantime

I get stuff from the vet. Don't know if over the counter ones work ok. Do you not routinely worm them? Mine get worm treatment every 3 months

I do it with pets at home. £10 a month for all flea, worm (all spot-on) from their vet & yearly jabs & health checks.

More likely to be anal gland impaction- would advise a visit to the vet before it bursts and becomes an abscess

Ps FYI worming- drontal

Take them to the vet, they’ll tell you the right thing and likely give it to them there

Thanks, everyone ... I will indeed book a quick visit to the vets since many of you think that's the best thing
