My little sod of a cat has peed on my bed, and I don't know if I've done enough to get rid of the smell Angry It soaked through the duvet, mattress topper and into the mattress but not through the other side.

I've stripped (and binned) the bedding and soaked about a litre of 'urine off'on the mattress, left it for a couple of hours and then soaked up the excess. My neighbour reckons it doesn't smell anymore, but I can't tell and right now, everything smells of pee to my nose Sad

Had anyone used the specialist enzyme cleaners on beds, and did it work in the end?

He's so lucky he's cute.....

That should be fine. And there was really no need to bin the bedding! Why did he do it though? Wasn't his litter tray accessible? Or clean enough? Or was he angry with you about something Grin?

I used Simple Solution for 10 years on carpets mostly, including in the carpet shampooer, fortunately never on a bed, but on various other things. As long as it was detected the SS got rid of the smell.

I also used white vinegar.

thecat He's probably mad at me about something, he holds a grudge Grin. Seriously though, he had signs of cystitis yesterday so I had him at the vet last night - he's probably a wee bit sore still Sad

The duvet and mattress topper wouldnt fit in the washing machine and no nearby laundrette, so they had to go. The bedding was bought by the ex, so don't really care about that Grin

Toad I googled simple solution, and looks like the stuff I used. If it works on carpet, it shouldn't have any trouble with the mattress! I have gallons of white vinegar as well, I'll give it a good soak in that too if I'm still not convinced it's clean in the morning.

Thank you Grin
