Insurance

Can I ask who you use for insurance? We used to have cover through our house insurance but that policy is due for renewal and we'll lose that benefit.

For a chipped, spayed house cat who doesn't venture outside. Thanks.

Tesco. For my two Persian house cats. £42 for both of them. The little buggers have cost them £11k this year! They've paid up quickly and without trouble.

Thanks. How much coverage do you have?

Top level, thank God! £7.500 each. Renewed every year. You need that if they've got a chronic condition.

Im with m&s I think the gold cover.

didn't get insurance until she was 13/14 so it costs quite a bit at about £140 a year +£250 excess but it's lifetime insurance and she gets £7000 p/y which resets every year.

She has used nearly the whole 7 the first year and about 5 the next so it's been worth every penny!

Lifetime insurance has saved my bacon because it means her chronic conditions are now covered forever as long as I keep the cover going. If I'd gone for the other options then the conditions would have been classed a pre existing conditions and would not have been covered!

Just to warn you though anything diagnosed before the insurance will be classed as pre existing so won't be covered, in my girls case that's hairballs.

Sorry that should have said not covered after the first year.

How old is cat? It can be hard to find new policies for older pets.

Yes your right wolf that's why mine costs so much, lots of others wouldn't cover her at all, if she had been 10 or under it would have been fine.
