Help, I need advice...

My DF lives 69 miles away and has a little, black 11yo cat.
He's phoned me panicking because he says she's 'stopped eating' and is acting out of sorts. She doesn't want to go out (she usually cries to be let out every day), she just sits under a chair.
She is still washing herself and will let him pick her up, she doesn't seem to be in any discomfort and purrs when petted. She flicks her tail as she always did and has no change in her breathing or eyes or stools. There is no trembling or anything like that.
She just seems subdued and had lost her appetite. I've recommended him try to tempt her with different foods and not fuss her too much.
He doesn't handle things like this well. I've said to see how she goes, I'm not sure what symptoms we'd present to a vet if we took her to one? She looks and presents fine, she's just out of sorts.
She's having a few mouthfuls of wet pouch a day, but no biscuits.
WWYD?

Sore teeth?

You go to a vet and say it isn't eating and doesn't want to go out.

I wouldn't leave it long before going to a vet. If it happened in the morning, I'd be at the vet with her by the afternoon, at least. Cats are masters at hiding illness and do not like to be helped. Only a vet can say exactly what's wrong with her.

Ok thanks for the advice I'll speak to him.
