My cat has a cyst

He has been to the vet, who ‘burst’ it and the liquid inside was clear. Apparently this means it’s nothing to worry about.

However it is pretty big. I was stroking him last night and idly squeezed it and it burst and hit me in the face (nice Hmm) the liquid is still clear but then today it seems to have filled up again. Dh burst it for him as he was insistent that it must be uncomfortable and again there seemed to be a lot of liquid in it but it just seems to fill up again.

Has anybody else’s cat ever had this? I feel like it must be uncomfortable for him.

I had a guinea pig with a cyst. Vet actually told me to squeeze it every day and flush out with saline. Took a week to go. I know with humans there’s a thing that with some cysts if the cyst wall isn’t removed it will keep refilling.

I think it hurts him though as he mews Sad

It’s on his back.

Normally the "sack" of the cyst has to be removed or it will keep refilling.
