Fighting cats

We have a female cat who is fairly feisty. She's quite territorial and will chase off any and every cat that attempts to come into our garden.

Our next door neighbours got a new cat in the summer (large male) and it's becoming a bit of a nightmare!

He is also territorial but they fight all the time. Either in our gardens or out in the road, down the road - basically whenever they cross paths!

We had hoped it would settle down but coming up to 6 months and no change. I'm constantly chucking water if I see this at to try and discourage him from coming near and neighbour does this with out cat too.

So far they've not managed to do any real damage to each other, lots of scratches and fur pulled out but nothing needing vet treatment.

Any idea how we can resolve this?!!!

Are they both neutered?
