Help - cat conundrum

We have 2 cats at home. My brother is coming to stay for Christmas - from today until the 28th. He's already on his way, with his cat (their 2 usual sitters have let him down)
We have a male and female, guest cat is male. How can we make the next few days comfortable for all cats?

The sexes of the cats don't make any difference (assuming all are neutered of course!). Unless all cats are remarkably laid back and very friendly towards other cats then you will need to keep them separate. Will your brother be staying in a spare room? If so his cat needs to stay in there.

All are neutered and yes I have prepped spare room with its own tray and food bowls, wasn't sure if there was anything more we could do.

I second keeping his cat in the spare room, feliway might help it settle. Not fair on your cats to let his cat loose among them.

Yep, keep them separated. I disagree that the sex doesn't matter. Our boy cat is fine with other cats as long as they are female but has taken against our other boy cat.

Hopefully it will all be calm and they can all be placated with some smoked salmon and turkey.

Tie 2 shoelaces together with large balls at either end, place under the door of the spare room and see if the cats will play with the guest cat. It always worked when we were introducing a new cat to the established cats.

Thanks all. Feliway plugged in and guest cat making himself at home asleep on the spare bed. It would seem all is well.
