Advice about possible stray

Hi I sometimes go out for a walk at night. The last few times I have been walking this cat keeps following me. I m deathly afraid of cats after being attacked as a child. However even in my fear ridden state I can see that the cat is very tame and friendly. It follows me and tried to come up. Today it even came up to my house This is the third time. I am quite worried for it now. What if it doesn’t have an owner? Also I never see it in the day time. Is there any rescue I can contact. I called rspca and they said they can’t help if the cat is healthy. I don’t know if it is or not as I leg it every time she turns up. Thanks

If you're scared of it there's not much you can do.
A vet could scan for a chip.
Is there a local FB group for pet owners? You could post a pic on there.

Does it look thin & a bit tatty?.

No it looks ok although a bit small. I have told the neighbours, they have a few cats, they said they will look out for it.

Ndn ginger boy follows people for fuss when their out. Maybe it's just friendly?.

Its probably fine. Cats can follow you if they think they're going to get fuss/food.
If it looks ok, then leave it!
You'll only be giving anxiety to someone wondering where their pet is!

Thanks for reassurance I called the cats protection here too but they also said if it looks ok then leave it alone.

If you don't know if it is a stray you can print paper collars. Ask owner to contact you to put your mind at rest?
