I think it's time

Our cat is 19.5 and there has been a steady decline in mobility over the last few weeks. She seems to have little control over her back end but up til now was peeing and pooing as normal but very wobbly. She's in no pain, the vet confirmed it as we've been many times over the last 3 weeks and she's on Prednisolone. It was just a case of seeing how she got on.

Over the last couple of days she's gone downhill, this morning shes struggling to get up, peeing lying down, I don't think it's fair anymore so I need to make an appointment I think.

I don't know what I'm looking for. Being told I'm doing the right thing I guess.

And advice on how to handle this with my child. She's very young, but knows the score, at school at the moment so I wanted to wait until she got home so she can spend a bit of time with the cat, she's her friend.

Any advice.

Jeez that's long.

I'm so sorry for your loss, it's such a horrible thing to have to do but it's the last love that we can show our pets. Someone said to me rather a day too soon than a second too late RIP XXX

So sorry for the loss of your little friend. It is one of the hardest decisions to make. I had to do it a few months back with my 20 year old boy. So hard to cope with, but the best thing we can do for them at the end. They're always with us Flowers

I'm so sorry. You were brave enough to do the right thing for your lovely puss and that's the most loving thing we can do for them at the end Flowers

I'm so very sorry for your loss Flowers

I had to let my beautiful old lady go at the end of November, it's horrible isn't it. I completely get it. You did the right thing.

Thinking of you through tears x Flowers Almost three months since the light of my life went dark. BUT: a lifetime of memories and zero regrets.
