I'm fed up of having to dismantle the carriers to extract the girls when at the vets. Does anyone have recommendations for a top entry kitty prison. Ideally with the catches to thread seatbelts through.

I foster cats, we just use metal wire cage type carriers. I thread the seatbelt through the handle on top. They are much easier to get cats in and out of than the plastic ones in general. They come with a cloth cover for the outside. They are really secure as well.

We have white wire rectangular baskets that have a lid that opens.

Our cats travel regularly and are very happy in them.

Try amazon.

Ive just ordered this one, as there’s no way of getting one of mine into the normal ones.

Hoping to test it out next week for a trip to the vets!

There are a couple of cheaper ones on Zooplus, some of the reviews weren’t very good however.

Thanks. A rescue was giving away a curver basket. For a donation, do I got that. It's brilliant!

Came home to this, I think it's a success!

Haha aww!

It's a cat picnic basket Grin

Toddlerteaplease · 17/12/2017 21:10

I am amazed. They usually vanish when the baskets come out!

I was liking recently but my cat is too big for the Curver one, but if anyone else is looking for a top entry carrier I bought an Amazon Basics one and I'm very impressed, it's very sturdy.

HardAsSnails · 18/12/2017 18:12

*looking not liking!

Toddlerteaplease · 18/12/2017 19:43

Can the Amazon one be strapped into the car. Not sure my bigger girl will fit in the curver

It doesn't have any guides for a seatbelt, I haven't used it yet, but I've got the large one and I think it will be fairly easy to brace it on a back seat for our short trip to the vets. I don't think I've seen any large top-loading carriers with seatbelt guides since I started looking.
