Poor little Scurrycat

So upset. Scurrycat went out on Saturday night during the awful snowstorm after spending a lovely evening asleep on the sofa. Frantic searching throughout the next few days after her non return.

Last night neighbour informed us there was a deceased cat on the side of the road very near to our cottage. It was her....only visible after the thaw, apparently hit by a car. Absolutely gutted.

Feel ridiculous. Cried at the vets when i took her to be cremated... tried to bury her but couldn't dig dep enough.

So sorry Flowers.

Cataline · 14/12/2017 20:24

So sorry. I've just had to have my old boy put to sleep this evening. It's devastating!

I’m so sorry. RIP little Scurrycat

scurryfunge · 14/12/2017 20:26

Thank you. She was a feisty little madam. So cute and cuddly. Feel daft. A 50 year old crying at her loss.

I'm used to 25 years of cats dying through old age or illness but not acccident.

It's natural, you just hate to think of them coming to any harm and you miss them x

scurryfunge · 14/12/2017 21:02

Yes , I do miss her.

How sad, poor little cat. So sorry for you Scurry Flowers.

Vinorosso74 · 14/12/2017 21:14

And for you Cataline Flowers. We had our girl PTS early last month.

rocky4 · 14/12/2017 21:32

My heart breaks for you I can't imagine losing one of my cats through accident. We moved to a new house recently and I made the decision to keep mine in as much too near a main road. My BIL had to scoop one up off that road not too long ago and I can't bare it to be mine.

Thanks and Wine and Cake

SallySphinx · 14/12/2017 21:36

So sorry, RIP scurrycat Flowers
I lost a beloved cat to the road last year, heartbreaking Sad

Weedsnseeds1 · 14/12/2017 22:24

Of course you are crying. She was your pet and you loved her.

TheLongRider · 14/12/2017 22:40

It's absolutely fine to be mourning her. You're posting in the right place. None of us like losing a much-loved pet.

Thank you for your kind thoughts everyone.

Thanks pain will ease. She'll always be with you. I think about my cats who've gone to rainbow bridge, everyday.

snorkmaiden68 · 19/12/2017 17:28

So sorry for your loss. Poor scurrycat. I lost my Ruby to a car accident in September and cried buckets and I m 49. Everyone on here is lovely though and we know it's a real loss so it's ok to grieve. I still cry about Ruby sometimes, it's ok to love them and mourn them
