New cats - names?

On Saturday we got 2 (4 month old) kittens. The "holding names" from the refuge need to be changed (they truly are awful).

They're both super sweet (obviously!) but (mostly) still in hiding, so it's a bit difficult to find suitable names.

Boy cat is all black and very shy, girl cat is black with white socks and a small white chest patch (and currently more adventurous).

I wonder if I could impose upon you for any name suggestions please (my suggestion of Jessica and Fletcher has been rejected).

Their paperwork will all be going to the vet in the next few days and it would be nice to register them with their "real" names.

How about:

Murphy or Storm for the boy

And

Stella or Katy for the girl (my colleague's cat was called Katy, it suited her).

Friend's nickname is Katy so probably not but liking the others! I did think Bella as well ( although given her stumbling earlier, Stella may be more appropriate!)

Baldrick and Miggins

You out go fo famous pairs ( or should that be famous purrs?!?). George and Mildred. Posh and Becks. Sooty and Sweep. Whizzed and Chips. Chilli and Pepper.

Or your fave drinks / chocolates .... Malteser and Twix. Murphy and a Guinness. Talisker and Skye.

Laphroaig and Doombar also vetoed! Last cats were the first and last name of an aged favourite actor and suited them very well, so I'm hoping the next ones will live up to that. The one name that someone suggested I not name the boy makes me giggle (because he would spin in his grave and that makes me glad) but I worry that people may not see the irony

Ps. If anyone can tell me how to post pics (have them from rescue site so not the best) please let me know if it will help (posting from phone at the moment)

I have to save to drive then upload on the phone.

How about Withnail and Eye if you'd like to continue the actor tradition?

Batman and Robin? Sundance & the Cassidy King? Bit of a mouthful at the vets Grin

When I got two kittens years ago, I gave my girls a choice, Zig and Zag or Rosie and Jim, they went for Zig and Zag.
Zig was torti and white and Zag was long haired black.

Thanks for suggestions! Looks like girl cat will be called Malbec after she emerged feom hiding and headed straight for the open bottle! Boy cat continues to hide but tending towards tequila in the hope it helps him out of his shell!
