Make move easy for cat

When I left exH she managed to perform a houdini like feat and break out of her cat carrier...on the motorway.

Her miaowing suddenly got louder and I turned around, and there she was, escaped and indignant. I put her on my lap and she had a mild curiosity in the motorway at first then proceeded to run all over the removal van. There wasn't much we could do about it as she'd broken the carrier.

We have to unexpectedly move tomorrow and I'm a bit nervous, how can I make it easier for her? Aside from dreamies?

Cable tie the carrier shut for extra protection, place a jumper of yours in with her. And drive fast!!

How far are you moving? Would putting her into a cattery for a couple of nights so you don't have to worry about her on moving day be an option? That's what I did with mine when I last moved, so at least all the furniture was in place before I introduced her to the new house.
