Your Cats Favourite Toys?

I've got three cats, two boys aged 5 and a girl aged 4.

They all love their toys and have a shoe toy box they enjoy scattering everywhere. It contains all sorts of junk treasures, ranging from the rope chew toy one "borrowed" from next doors Chihuahua's (and was allowed to keep as they didn't play with it) to a wooden cross necklace that came free with an ebay order that was also claimed and has teeth marks.Blush
They have proper toys too, the usual ping pong type balls, although only the pink one ever gets played with and the Zebadee catnip mice although again I don't buy the blue ones anymore as they won't touch them. What is it with them and pink toys?Confused

Current revisited favourites are drinking straws, ping pong ball sized scrunched up tin foil thrown up the stairs for them to chase and a knotted length of thin bright pink elastic used as a dangler toy until they run off with it and it's game over.Grin

What about your cats?

Dhs hands, a cava cork, a rolled up ball of foil, da bird, ping pong balls.

He only plays in short bursts though, he's a sprinter not a marathon runner Grin

The top strip of a cheese packet, the bit that is sort of glued together. Entertains her for hours 😂

Hair roller, small green ball and a pouncy tunnel are current favourites!

Izzy24 · 26/11/2017 10:15

Oh and the body only of a dangly toy that she dismantled and spends hours tossing it up in the air and then leaping on it.

Luckily she has little success pouncing on anything in the big outdoors ☺️

A long piece of black crafting elastic - I have to dangle it for them, drape it over a dining chair & drag it across etc. Boycat is currently into the feather boa fishing type toy, and both go through phases of killing some tiny toy mice I got cheap from Amazon.

Oh and there's a thing that looks a bit like a headless and legless hamster with some feathers sticking out of one end - they can lie there licking that for hours, and I caught Boycat using it as a kicker today despite it being too small really. Neither have ever shown any interest in their "proper" kicker toys.

Smoky doesn't play with toys never has. Bluebell has this catnip banana she is totally obsessed with and a grey felt mouse she loves.
She often wakes me very early am wanting to show me this (soggy) banana.
She has rejected all other toys but these.

Pens/wrapped boiled sweets/ toy mice

ScrabbleFiend · 26/11/2017 19:21

My hair bobbles are my cats favourite toy by far, she swipes them off worktops and I find them all over the house. Those and balls of string. All shop bought toys are largely ignored apart from the Kong kickeroo which she likes to try and disembowel.

They never cease to amaze me with their inventiveness!

Hair accessories, yep always fair game. I actually took a band upstairs with me the other morning, put it on my bed while I picked up my brush, turned round and it was gone...

Tonight they've succeeded in nicking the fluffy pom poms off of my dds slipper boots and are chasing around with them.

Ribbon. Always Grin
Da bird is one of his faves too

MrsFoxPlus4 · 26/11/2017 23:56

Anything with bells on, one had a habit of stealing lids off anything and dry pasta.

DollyParsnip · 27/11/2017 11:55

Boy Cat is currently jealously guarding a tea towel he pinched off the radiator! That plus da Bird, conkers, a ping pong ball and my hands are all fair game! Girl Cat has a little mouse attached to a rattly ball that she loves, she even pinched a new one from it's bag and dragged it upstairs despite it having a huge slab of card still attached!

Goodness knows what’s the matter with Herself this evening.

She’s not playing with anything at all and is lying on the back of an armchair facing away from us, ignoring all invitations.

Clearly we have offended deeply in some way.

Boycat has found a new favorite game over the last couple of days - mountaineering. Over my legs and hips in bed. At various moments from 4am until the alarm goes off at 8am.

jmscp2015 · 28/11/2017 08:52

Two large primark bags and a rolled up ball of foil. Grin

Sunnystars · 28/11/2017 09:22

Primark bags!!! I'd forgotten all about those, also any reasonable sized box, hours of fun jumping in and out of it....

Da bird.

The tri tunnel with peep hole was a particular hit.

Boxes / paper bags / strips of cardboard.

The Catit ball on a track thingy has been popular too.

My hair bobbles (can't leave them lying around!)

Huge cat tree that can be properly climbed like a tree trunk.
