A good cat litter

Can anyone recommend a good litter that will take usage by two cats, that keeps all smells in and doesn’t make a mess?! I feel like I’m asking for too much here but there must be one out there...?

I’ve used Bob Martin crystals, Tesco’s (all of them) Felight, Wilko’s own and Catsan.

Help! Thanks in advance

World’s Best. we have 4 cats and this litter is miraculous. flushable and everything. i get ours on Amazon - about £25 a big bag and it lasts at least 3 weeks.

so yeah, World’s Best. i am evangelical about it!

Great thank you! @exWifebeginsat40 I’ll get some today, willing to try anything I’m at the end of my rope with supermarket rubbish.

Is that the same as cats best? We used that for 10 years and for smells/clumping it was amazing but it migrated everywhere in the house even hoovering daily it made such a mess. We've switched to wood pellets and honestly it's so much better (and cheaper).

I use this which is about £16 on Amazon however I've found it at a little shop in a nearby town for £5.49, lucky me!

I recommend a top entry box too, no mess at all.

We had cats best (we have 2 cats) and it was awful. I was always was greeted with a smell when I got home, it made so much mess too! I couldn't understand it as it was 30 a bag so surely superia! I decided to give the pets at home £5 a bag wood pellets ago. The difference is unbelievable! we don't have any smells now, much less mess and unbelievably cheaper for a product in my opinion a million times better!

ive been getting this one for a few years. Its the only wood litter that clumps and you can take the lumps out and flush them. I find it realy masks smells well and looks expensive but because you can seperate and flush, you hardly ever have to change the entire tray and its actually good value.

IHaveBrilloHair · 22/11/2017 10:19

World's best, I have four cats and swear by it

MayorGoodway · 22/11/2017 10:34

I second the pets at home wood one. So much less mess than with cat san etc! I like the idea of a top entry box though... where can I get one?

MaidenMotherCrone · 22/11/2017 10:56

Amazon have lots, I have this one, cheap, sturdy, does the job perfectly. It also stops the whippet from snacking iykwim

We use Sepicat. It’s 30L for £10 on Amazon I believe!

dementedpixie · 22/11/2017 11:34

I use a mix of worlds best and cats best nature gold (doesnt track like oko plus). I wouldn't use oko plus again as it tracks everywhere

dementedpixie · 22/11/2017 11:35

And both worlds best and cats best nature gold are clumping so you can scoop both pee and poo

Bumblina · 22/11/2017 11:42

I use the snowflake wood pellet litter from home bargains. £2.99 for 15 litres.
Seems to do a good job. No litter is perfect but I found Catsan awful.
I'd love a nice looking (large ) litter tray though as ours have to be in the hallway which is not a nice thing to see for guests !

dementedpixie · 22/11/2017 11:44

We have this high sided litter tray

DarkLikeVader · 22/11/2017 11:48

Watching with interest. I used to rate the wood pellets but the sawdust made my cats cough and I’ve since heard it’s not healthy for cats to use wood with lidded trays so I’ve had to stop, can’t find anything else as good - at least not at a price I want to pay for two cats to shit on!

ShuttyTown · 22/11/2017 12:42

Thanks everyone for the suggestions lots of options for me to there Grin
