We have a female cat 15 months likes to go outside and has little routine going on kept in at night comes in earlier now dark cold weather maybe 7 or 8 instead of 11. We have little boy cat 6 months had him since 8 weeks kept him in for about 6 weeks he never goes out we don't have a cat flap but utility window kept open always alert from night time, he will go out for short while but comes in I'm delighted he doesn't go out much as we are near busy road and one of our cats was maybe 8 months got knocked down had to be pts, boy cat is a real people cat friendly etc other cat isn't, I was just wondering will he be a house cat or will he realise there's more than our garden and start wandering do you think he's getting neutered this week.

It's impossible to know. All cats are different. They generally seem to enjoy going outside though but if you are near a busy road then it has to be better to keep him in. Although of course the best possible solution would be to cat-proof your garden so they can't get out of the garden.
