Portia is on steroids...

Vet gave her a steroid injection last week to see if it perked her up (failing kidneys)

Well she is spending most of her day asleep in an ikea laundry basket (snake charmer type) on the dining table..we have relinquished it for the time being... and still peeing on the floor. BUT she is eating!

Everything.. she wants her food (deli turkey, tuna..she refuses cat food) and our food. She even slapped me to try spinach tonight!

It may not prolong her life much but it is lovely to see her eating !

It's amazing how quickly the steroid perks them up, isn't it?

Spinach though?

My old lady was sent home with an inoperable brain tumour, a bottle of steroids, and a week or so to say goodbye.

That was 18 months ago, and she's defiantly living the high life, with dreamies, under floor heating, and regular jaunts up the garden to drink the water in the bird bath.

The vets get a bit more surprised every time I call for more steroids. She got passed round the whole team and gawped at on her last check up.
