So my new little bundle of fluff has fleas. She's been sprayed with frontline at the vets but now I'm struggling to keep toddler and kitten separate. Really worried about dangers to dd. Can anyone reassure or advise?

Does your toddler try to suck on the cat fur? Oral ingestion could be risk.

Your cat is probably 4 kg & your toddler is probably 12 kg+. Your cat got a high dose & any dose your toddler gets will be a very small fraction of that. If the potions are safe for your domestic cat they aren't dangerous to people on skin contact. I suppose there is the risk is if your toddler keeps touching cat near where the frontline went on, & then immediately putting hands in mouth.

You could ring the poisons service to ask for professional advice.

No she's 3 so is past trying to lick the cat stage thankfully. I'm just worried about her touching the kitten and putting her hands in her mouth! As much as I try to stop it happening it's difficult to keep them completely separate!

Teaching kids to wash hands after touching animals isn't a bad habit, anyway. Not that I do it, but it would be the official advice you get from anywhere.
