Nothing Nicer than a Contented Cat on your Lap!

We have our log fire on as I'm cold and feel like I'm coming down with something. DH is sitting next to me and has just opened a cheeky bottle of red. On his lap is one of our lovely cats who is so contented. Purrrrrrfect!

He does look a happy chap

pilates · 11/11/2017 21:30

Ahh that’s lovely ❤️Mine only sits on me at 2 in the morning 🙄

LaChatte · 11/11/2017 21:32

Mine usually decides to sit on my lap about five minutes before I need to leave for work.

ILoveDolly · 11/11/2017 21:36

Yes it is nice but I currently have to put mine in the back room because they won't sit on my lap until they've thoroughly been in all the bedrooms and disturbed the children

Reluctant2ndtimer · 11/11/2017 21:41

Oh op I totally know what you mean. Harold brings me so much joy just by sitting on my lap, it’s good for the soul in my opinion 😍

Awwww.

Mine likes to sit on my chest. Which sounds lovely until you factor on her claws...

Fluffycloudland77 · 11/11/2017 22:14

Mines 14lb, he settled on my chest one night, I woke up thinking I was either having a heart attack or sleep paralysis.

Reluctant2ndtimer · 11/11/2017 22:46

How big is that cat op? He/she looks enormous and gorgeous.

Lolalovespugs · 11/11/2017 22:51

Mine sits beautifully on your lap and acts all innocent then the minute you move she floofs all over the place and miaows in pity if you try to get your seat back

Lovely to see all the contented cats. Reluctant, you are right - it is good for the soul to have a cat purring on your lap. I love waking up in bed to find one snuggled up against me. Angus isn't really that big - he's mostly fluff to be honest.

Just look at the smile on Angus’s face! Mine rarely sit on me. 😰

My beautiful girl.

That's why DD could not get up - she would have disturbed him on her way down from her bed.

Icequeen01 · 12/11/2017 18:37

So lovely to see so many gorgeous, contended and much loved cats.

Presumably this means I can't possibly move this evening and that DH has to bring me tea etc...

Oh Yellow, there’s many a night when I can’t go to bed when I was as Harold is too comfy on my lap. I long for dh to go away for a night so I can have Harold on my bed where he really ought to be Grin

This is Angus's brother. Another contented pussycat 😀

Cat is welded to my lap this evening (well it is getting colder).

Mulli likes the cat-sized well in my crossed legs.
Also has the advantage of keeping my feet warm!

My boy cat has changed over the past month from one who will happily lie on the floor by my feet to one is only happy if he is somehow touching me. He’s owned me for exactly 6 months now so either he’s finally relaxed or the cold weather has made him more desperate 😹

It Is making me lazy though because it’s taken so long for him to get to this point I can’t bring myself to disturb him!

TheDonald · 14/11/2017 18:19

She's glaring because I just dropped my phone while trying to take her picture.

I'm supposed to be working but there isn't room for her and the laptop!

Mines just started to sit on my lap. It started when I lost my dad two weeks ago strangely.
