Vet appointment at 10am to have my lovely, gentle old girl PTS. She is 15 and we adopted her from CP 9 years ago. Her body is too weak and she has just given up. Watching DD say her goodbyes this morning broke my heart.

Beautiful girl, I love black and white cats. She was obviously so loved

Oh Vino, I'm so sorry for you and vinocat. You gave her the best possible life and were with her right til the end. They really are family members aren't they. Flowers for you and DD

Thank you so much everyone. She was very much loved, she was quite a medically complex cat so was very well known at the vets and they were fond of her too (she was a good patient).I have always had a soft spot for B&W cats, love the individual markings.
When DD was a baby and would have mammoth feeds she would come and sit with us never in the way but right there.
I think she was well cared for by her first human too.

So sorry, what a lovely girl she was. I have my old boys in the sleeping cat caskets, they really are lovely. Take care of yourself.

Sorry VinoCat and VinoFamily

She's safe and out of pain, and you have lovely memories

It's bloody horrible though when you miss their little furry body and personality

I’m so sorry, Vino. It’s a hard thing even when you know that you have no choice.

Again, thank you we're missing her a lot. I know it was the right and kindest thing to do but it still hurts. Got some lovely flowers from the vets on Saturday which made me blub.
Got a couple of CP shifts this week-tomorrow is "cat cuddling" with DD so I hope that is therapeutic as I don't want to make a cat soggy!

You’ll likely end up taking one home.

cozie, I'm not ready. We have discussed and we will get one after Christmas, we're going to be away for a few days so not fair on poor cat. That said there is a gorgeous pair of brother and sister who are so friendly but keep being overlooked (7yo so as you know quite young!). They need to find some other humans as I don't think we can have two.
