(Little bit of background) growing up we had loads of animals including cats and I have never been allergic to them. I've always suffered with hayfever in summer though.
Last year (December) we homed two cats, one is a ragdoll one is a Siamese birman cross. I ADORE them both. I remember that I came down with hay fever very early this year and still suffering wirh red itchy eyes now... I've been coughing and sneezing for so long my husband wanted me to go to the doctors to be checked over. That's when a family member suggested I could be allergic to the cats. And now it's clicked! When I'm at home my eyes are incredibally itchy and I'm constantly sneezing. As soon as I go out it stops!! When I stroke my cats it becomes unbearable :( i dont know what to do now? Is there anything i can do? I hoover 2-3 times a day (cordless Hoover and 2 toddlers + cats) cats are well groomed every couple of days (my ragdoll has very long mattable fur) I just don't know what I can do. I'd be so greatful for any advice!
