Where do you keep your cat litter tray?

Looking for inspiration for where to keep our litter tray - in our old flat it lived next to the toilet but there is no room in our new bathroom and don't know where to hide it so it is not on 'display'.

Where does yours live?

I know people with corner trays discretely by the front door and I'm utility rooms. I have them in the spare wc and inside a cupboard. You can stick a cat flap on the cupboard or jigsaw a (cute mouse-door shape) cut out. Have a look on pinterest.

Urghh mine are in my bedroom and the dining room. I hate it but my elderly cat will crap on the floor if there isn't one upstairs and down.

Under the dining room table! At the back, flush against the wall. Like you, we have no room in either the downstairs loo or the main bathroom.

Mines in my bedroom which is on the ground floor. I like the idea of cat cupboards just to keep the dust in.

We have a small cupboard under the stairs, it’s basically like a box with a door as it’s not full height - I think it is meant for shoes or something.

Anyway, we use that as if needed we can close the door briefly.

It’s been renamed the Poop Room.

In the kitchen, in a gap where a dishwasher would go. Nowhere else to put it. It’s a top entry one so fully covers and does t smell.

I'd love one of those 'cat cupboards' but our cat is incredibly stupid and I am not sure if we could train her to go inside. We have a top-entry box at the moment and it took us weeks of training to get her in there!

Mine lives in the bathroom but a corner would work better if I'm honest. On another note I'm fed up of tracking from the litter does a top entry box help with this and which ones have you got not sure which would work best?

Downstairs loo. We don't really use that loo (new build house with 3 loos!) so the cat has exclusive use of it most of the time! Its good because we can put the extractor fan on if he does a stinker.
We do spend a lot of time reminding visitors not to shut the door behind them after they come out if they've used the downstairs loo. They never listen, then the cat starts looking agitated... He is outdoors in the daytime though so the tray doesn't get used every day.

I cant go back now. Like toddler its in the kitchen im in a flat. Its scooped as soon as they do anything if im in. I have a corner one in my bedroom as i like them to have options and if they are sleeping with me i cant bear the door being open.

No problems with tracking.

Oh I was wondering about this - I have to move soon and I'd be devastated if I couldn't take my elderly cat, if I can take her she'd probably need to be indoors which she's not used to.

She knows how to use a litter tray but on the rare occasion where I have to shut her in (e.g. fireworks, away for a night) she tends not to bury her poos, sign of distress I guess.

I accidentally locked her in the other night and she went on a towel! My fault

dining room. not ideal i know, but much of the house is carpeted, which limits our options. to be fair she only uses it in bad weather of if she's cross with us, so it goes untouched a lot of the time.

I had a cat toilet extension built on the side of my kitchen, with a cat flap from the kitchen and a flap from the extension to the outside. It used to be in the hallway which I hated. It was £7000 well spent in my opinion :)

I have an understands cupboard off the hallway and the freezer and litter tray are in there.

Wherever they decide to go is where the trays will be put. Every now and then, they change their desired place to pee. Thank goodness most of my flooring isn't carpets!

We have one in our small en-suite..it fits quite well

And Ernie has what we call his own en-suite...a litter tray in a drawer under the utility sink.

To be fair he doesn't use any of them much...

I have two in my lounge. It’s a bit grim but my 18 year old moggie would just poo in here anyway if they weren’t here.

We knocked a hole in our wall to outside and on the outside we pushed a plastic garden storage box with her tray inside up to the hole, eventually we will box in the plastic storage so it looks like a wooden garden bench. On the inside we disguised it with some IKEA Kallax storage (one of the holes is a door which we put a cat flap into).

3 cats - 1 small tray in hall, 1 small one in back room & jumbo one also in back room. Lid & Cat's Best Öko Plus mean no noticeable smells (I do check with visitors )

All 3 cats seem to use all 3 trays, but at different times, & they only poo in the big one.

I used to keep one in the shower upstairs (it would be removed to use the shower obv) but they stopped using it so I got rid.

Ours is under the stairs. It's currently open but we're planning on putting a cupboard door on there relatively soon and popping a cat flap on the cupboard door. Not so much for the smell as the fact that the cat litter inexplicably seems to go everywhere...
