Bleeding behind ear

One of my cats has been scratching behind his ear. It was bleeding yesterday but scabbed overnight but he’s just caught it again and pulled the scab off and it’s a bit of a mess. He’s got an appointment at 8.15 tomorrow (couldn’t get in today) but is they’d anything I can do? I wonder if he’s got ear mites as he keeps flicking his ears. I feel really bad for him and it looks dreadful.

His jabs and flea treatments are up to date. Should I just leave it til the vet can see it tomorrow?

You could bathe it with salty water to tidy it up a bit. Use cool boiled water from the kettle. Hope he's feeling better soon.

Thank you MsMims I’ll give that a go soon. Just don’t want to make it worse but that sounds sensible
