Does my cat need to see a vet?

Hi there. Wound on my lovely cats head ( see picture). Think it may be old scans picked off as it’s been a bit knobbly under his fur there. Cat is fine in himself.

Not sure if it needs medical attention or not as never had to deal with a wound on a cat before!

Looks a bit infected, burst abscess maybe?
You could try bathing with salt water but he might need antibiotics.

Ok. Think I will take him, just incase.
