I feel so sick..

My little cat didn’t come in last night, not too unusual for her as she was a stray when she found us and a bit of a law unto herself, a real character..

I’ve been calling her all day but as it’s been sunny kept telling myself that she was out hunting mice and enjoying the sun..

But she wasn’t.. I was out the front of the house calling her and a neighbour from the end of the road appeared, his son found my baby dead on his drive this morning..

She only chose me two years ago, she was covered in ticks and skinny and chose to follow me home. I loved her so much..

Any news sweatylemon?

I’ve decided that I can’t live without my little black cat so I’m booked in to get a 1inch square silhouette cat tattoo. I can’t bear to loose another cat and that one will be a permanent reminder of her.

I think that is a lovely thing to do. She will always be with you. Flowers

gingerhousecat · 02/10/2017 22:41

So sorry, feel heartbroken for you. Xx

IamImportantToo · 03/10/2017 20:50

Please can we see the tattoo once it is done? If that isn’t too personal.
Thinking of you

Therewere5inthebed · 04/10/2017 07:46

Iam of course, i’m booked in for 21st October with a fab tattoo artist so will take a pic then.

I’ve chosen the picture but can’t decide whereabouts to have it done, i’ve got a really tiny tattoo on the inside of my foot that no-one really sees but I want to see this one myself so am considering the inside of my wrist, I could always hide it with a bracelet in summer or sleeves if I needed to.

I really loved this one that i’ve posted as it looks exactly like her but it would be far too big for me.

I feel so sick..

Thought I'd share my pussycat wrist tattoo. Love that pIc OP X

That is really beautiful Dave
I considered an outline as they are more subtle but I have my heart set on a sillouette. It’s going to be an inch square max so should be fairly easy to hide if necessary.

I’ve been looking since Saturday and spotted this one which really looks like her.

I feel so sick..

I'm so sorry.

I love the cat tattoos. I've got Harry's and William's paw prints on my lower back. Harry's is actually taken from a picture of his paw and William's is generic as I didn't have a picture of his paw.

RickOShay · 04/10/2017 15:56

Ooh, that is really nice five. Hope you are ok.

Therewere5inthebed · 04/10/2017 19:08

Thanks Rick i’m getting there slowly but it’s heartbreaking having to walk/drive past where it happened every day.

I miss her silliness and keep thinking I see her out of the corner of my eye and then remembering it can’t be her..

I’ve not cried today though, felt very sad but no tears which is progress.

It sounds as if she had a wonderful and loving home with you , and knew how loved she was .

Hugs x

There’s been a development..
My lovely neighbour is a veterinary nurse and popped it to see me yesterday to let me know that three little black kittens were brought in to them in Saturday looking for homes..
The upshot is that i’m collecting an 8 wk old black fluffy boy on Friday from Cats Protection.. It felt like fate, my little girl is irreplaceable but this feels right.
I’m thinking of names now and am going along the witchy route, Wicca, Merlin and possibly Raven but i’m Unsure if that’s too girly..

That's lovely, black cats are so hard to re-home.

Therewere5inthebed · 14/10/2017 20:41

It’s been a very bittersweet few days, I collected my beloved girls ashes yesterday, so very upsetting but I’m so glad she’s home now.

Bright and early this morning I collected a six month old, half Burmese baby boy from our local CPL

He’s settling in well already and has been nose to nose with our three dogs. It will take a bit of time for our old boy to accept him but previous experience bodes well.

I like it. How is the new cat settling in?.

Therewere5inthebed · 21/10/2017 16:28

Thanks fluffy

He’s doing really well, he’s very vocal and playful and has bonded well with the dogs, he wanders around mewing for them when they're out for a walk.

Old cat is getting there, he’s absolutely fine with him as long as he doesn’t get too close (a few feet is his limit at the moment) so i’m confident they’ll settle nicely given a few weeks.

He’s always pleased to see me if i’ve been out and now has the run of the house too. He’s really super.

He sounds awesome!.

mirren3 · 21/10/2017 17:11

Love the tattoo, what name did you choose, if it's not too outing to tell us?

Therewere5inthebed · 21/10/2017 17:32

He is Fluffy so glad we got him rather than the tiny kitten.

Mirren Thank you, we decided on Spooky, but he’s generally called Pooky now.

DavetheCat2001 · 21/10/2017 17:52

Love the tattoo 5

Glad that Spooky/Pooky is settling in well Smile

PosiePootlePerkins · 21/10/2017 22:05

Just read the whole thread. So sorry for the heartbreak with your dear puss, what a horrible thing to go through. I love the tattoo, a wonderful way to remember her.
And a happy new beginning with a gorgeous new kitten, I hope he brings much joy into your life. Love how his name has changed already, we have a Sybil who we generally call Wibble! She doesn't seem to mind too much.
