Collected his ashes

I posted a couple of weeks ago about having to have our lovely boy pts. It was devastating. Just collected his ashes which had made me weep all over again.
I sobbed all the way home whilst chatting to him about how he was coming back to his garden to see the birds and the squirrels again. I must have looked quite mad! It's a closure though sob

Sad

I'm sorry OP that must be terribly hard. Cake
Have you got people around you this evening?

Str4ngedaysindeed · 28/09/2017 16:57

Yes. The family is here. We're all very sad but know he didn't suffer. It was all very quick. It's insane how much we love them isn't it?

Yes I love my furry despots with a passion too.

I'm glad you have your family around you today. And I hope it's sunny where you are, so that you can look at those birds and squirrels for him.

It is lovely and sunny. We're buying him in the spot he always sat in. Beautiful daft old boy

I felt exactly the same as you Str4nge. I surprised myself by how upset I was and the house was so quiet. I sobbed when I picked up his ashes too but it felt like everything was 'right' again and I felt calmer afterwards. Bob sits on his favourite place on the windowsill now.

Str4ngedaysindeed · 28/09/2017 18:20

It does feel nice knowing he's downstairs waiting to go back to his favourite spot. He'll never leave that sunny bit of garden again Sad

Big hugs for you Str4ngedaysindeed, he'll always be with you, even if you can't see or touch him. Flowers
