Cat had a stroke

Hello everyone,

First time posting in this topic as our lovely 13 year old tabby had a stroke earlier in the week. She's been to the vet and we're likely to have her scanned sometime next week to see if there are any other underlying conditions we need to know about.

She had the stroke on Tuesday and lost feeling in her tail, and had weakness in her left hind leg. So she was struggling to walk, get up the stairs etc. and seemed really confused. She's been much better since, has even been able to start jumping up onto our bed and sofa! Which is lovely to see.

My question is what else can I do to help her and does anyone have experience of what we can expect as an aftermath? We've left her in peace to recover (doesn't like attention when ill) and have made sure she's had easier to digest food like the cat soups.

I knew she was getting old but oooft what a wake up call.

Thank you :)

Aww that's awful for you but I'm glad she's feeling better!

Don't have any advice. But hope she continues to improve. It's horrible when they are ill.
