She won't come in anymore

I have two cats for a number of years now.

One of them now spends all her time outside, only comes in to eat and I'm worried about her now that the colder weather is coming.
H has suggested building a "hutch" for her in the garden but I don't think that's going to do it.
Her behaviour has been quite odd this summer. Just sitting in the garden.
She's only 4 or so and has been to the vet recently. She gets on ok with the other cat. Any ideas?

Do you have a cat flap? Cats are often reluctant to come in if they think they can't go out again when they want to.

We have a cat flap, both are chipped. She comes in to eat and goes out again Sad

Problem Solved!!! Smile
I coaxed her in and introduced her to a nice pile of old towels under which I had concealed a small warm hot-water bottle.
Much nicer than sitting out under the shrubs we have agreed.
Next week I will put the towels into a box and am prepared to make her a hot water bottle along with my own!

Ah I see. She was in fact just training you :)

Mine has a hot water bottle too, he loves it. I drape a fleece over his bed for added toastyness.

Sometimes I come home and there's a back leg poking out of the bed.

I feel I ought to get a hot water bottle for the other cat now, so that she doesn't feel left out. (I would let her sleep on my bed but she's a stomper and I wouldn't get a wink)

Our cat did that. We bought a small kennel and put it in the garden but the weather was so bad , freezing cold and snow that we bought her in and kept her in. She now doesn't go out at all, her choice. If we put her out she runs back in
