I have a rescue cat who was about 4 when we got her. She's a grumpy old thing but we love her to bits.
Next week we are bringing home another rehome. He's 2 and huge but very chilled and gentle. He's used to living with other cats so I'm not too concerned about him but hoping DCat won't be a total diva.
Any tips?
I'm going to keep newcat (NC) in our dining room for a few days apart from in the evenings when he can come and sit on our laps in the living room but not wander around (apparently he is super friendly and needs a lot of affection and attention so don't feel right leaving him in dining room alone). Then going to do the feeding on opposite sides of the door and then let DCat sniff around his room while he sniffs around the rest of the house.
I've bought them new toys that I thought I might switch over a couple of days into his new home so they can get a whiff of each other.
Anything else I should do? Any other tips?
