Aargh! Cats have fleas, what can I do?

They both are scratching like mad and I keep feeling itchy! Not seen a flea though and both had frontline in walrus august. What can I do? Hoover everywhere? Give them another dose of frontline? Dose of something else? Change all human and cat bedding?

You need to spray Staykill all over the house, take them to vets and get Advocate - Frontline is rubbish imho.

Go to the vets and get Advocate on prescription. Apparently fleas have developed resistance to front line.

Wash everything you can on a hot wash.

Buy several cans of indorex and spray the whole house and especially cat bedding/rugs/under rugs where the cats go a lot.

Frontline doesn't work a lot of the time - get yourselves some Advocate from the vet, and use Indorex. Anything that can be washed needs washing on a hot wash too, and lots of thorough vacuuming.

Agree Indorex (on Amazon) is very good stuff.
I use Stronghold drops on prescription for mine. Only prescription strength treatments are any good really imho.

Ok, thanks. Can I get anything not on prescription that works. I'm
Not going to be able to get to the vets this week, I'm starting a new job which is full time for this week only!

If you've taken the cats regularly to the vet, and they know roughly what their weight is, they may prescribe without you having to take the cats in?

RonSwansonsMoustache · 03/09/2017 15:18

Could you ring the vets and arrange to pick up a prescription without them seeing the cats?
