Missing cat :(

Hi
I recently got two new cats, 4 year old brothers both neutered. The owner was away a lot so wanted to rehome, they had been here for 2 weeks, I got a cat flap and for the first day they both went out and returned, they were used to a cat flap at the previous place and were itching to get out! One of them is back but the other I haven't seen for 24 hours now and I am so worried! I have been out multiple times today calling him and shaking his biscuits, put out some tuna to hopefully entice him and nothing, is it quite usual or should i be worried? I'd really like him home now they are both such lovely cats and I am attached already! He is no where to be seen locally and I've told a few neighbours to keep an eye out for him, is there anything else i should be doing?? He is microchipped but as far as I know he is still in the previous owners name. Thank you so much for any help!!

Oh that's wonderful. You must be so relieved!

I really am! He just appeared from no where and was eating dinner! Would love to know where he Was! Do you think it's safe to leave cat flap open now that they have both come back a few times? They've always been able to come in and out freely at there old place and it's been a struggle to keep them in for the 2 weeks as it is!

I'd keep them in overnight to reduce the risk of road accidents, predation & any sinister human behaviour.

I don't give dinner until mines in for the night.
