New kitten with older cat

We are having a new kitten tomorrow that is 10 weeks old. Friend of a friend is desperate to find it a new home. We have a 10 yr old female cat who isn't very friendly on times. How shall we introduce them tomorrow.?

We kept ours completely separate to begin with. Started with swapping bedding and rubbing the kittens with the older cats bedding. Then we progressed to seeing each other but no physical contact then very short closely monitored contact. It was quite difficult to begin with and due to circumstances we were going on holiday after a week or so. It actually worked well as my parents used to come twice a day and do supervised visits. the set up was kittens in room a and b during the day and cat in room c then kittens in room a at night and cat in room b and c. Supervised visits in room b so they swapped scents. We came back from holiday to find 3 happy friendly cats!!!! At one point we nearly took cat back to the rescue centre as the visits were not going well but we persevered and it was well worth it!
